Hello right now im having trouble on whether or not i should upgrade my pc. I play a very big variety of games, but I look to run most of the newer titles with max settings, and play older games such as skyrim with texture mods, enbs, etc

The parts I would be upgrading would be the Graphics Card, The motherboard, The CPU, and the RAM.

This is my current build right now- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WnKPNN

This is what my build would look like if I upgraded- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4pJCkT

Im open to any suggestions if you perhaps know of alternatives to the parts I selected, that would be very helpful.

Thank YOU :)

i think the 1080ti is around double the performance of the 970 at this point but is more than fast enough to run games at 1080p. i dont think you should bother upgrading.

the CPU upgrade wont increase gaming performance by any noticeable amounts. same with the ddr4 ram. the only reason to upgrade the CPU is if you want to use m.2 drives, and in which, dont affect gaming performance

you should be able to run skyrim with lots of mods already with the 970 at 1080p. if not id check the settings and if thats alll good, a GPU upgrade is probably the only thing id do. the cpu change wont increase performance much if any or at all. overclock the gpu and cpu and try to get more performance out of it now instead
