And I used this video to help me put it together even though not everything is the same.

I have everything put together but it won't turn on. Any suggestions?

pc parts can be killed by static charge you don't even feel. What is the Relative Humidity where you live?

What happens when you try to power on? Anything at all? PSU fan spins? Do you have a speaker hooked up to mb (or does mb have error code LEDs)? Does cpu fan spin?

I live in north east florida (Saint augustine) If that helps. And nothing happens. Also I didn't touch any of it while it was plugged in so I don't think i could of killed it unless it still happens unplugged. But also note this guy in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZajTWCWvD8
isnt wearing one either

edit : oh never mind he does later in the video..

ahh im going to be really sad if I destroyed my computer

you may very well have killed it. Looking up Saint Augustine on the web, it has surprisingly low RH in April https://weatherspark.com/y/17759/Average-Weather-in-Saint-Augustine-Florida-United-States
the lower the RH, the worse the ESD risk; based on that graph, I would have recommended that you not even attempt to build a PC from mid Nov to mid April (when RH<20%)

Anyway, check the power switch on back of PSU, verify correct voltage in wall plug, double check the front panel connections, especially the Power switch and Reset switch; your mb had LED with error codes if you get that far.

USE A WRIST STRAP WHILE TOUCHING YOUR PC

A few years ago, I walked across the room to turn on my pc, that had run fine for more than a year; I got a big shock as I touched the Power switch, and the pc would NOT turn on. I shorted out the power switch, and used the power switch on back of psu (not a good idea, btw) to get it to run, but within a month it died totally. Understand, it was a big shock, but I only touched the plastic button on the power switch and the voltage damaged the mb!

Reading stuff about this online it seems like its a possibility but highly unlikely so thats good for me. Hopefully its just something not plugged in right

maybe.
check that the main power connector from PSU to mb is seated and LOCKED into place. Also, most newer mobos have a 2nd power connector that must be hooked up to supply the cpu : is that connected if applicable?

according to that graph, you're still in a low RH typically, this does mean HIGH ESD danger!
