This is for 1080p gaming. No video editing or anything like that. I already have a 128GB Crucial SSD from a few years ago I just found. I will probably add a couple noctua fans. Maybe I could add an M.2 drive. Let me know what you think and what you'd change, thanks.

I agree - I much prefer the ryzen build aswell in all honesty .
I'd swap the MSI mortar out for the asrock b350 pro 4 though , keeps the white/black colour scheme & as an added bonus its also a great quality board.

Very very likely to be stuck at 2666mhz ram though so I wouldn't overspend on the 3000 personally.

Work out cheaper & with a cx550 in to boot

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($217.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock AB350 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($89.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Patriot Viper Elite 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($97.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM...
I'd argue you're probably better with 2x8gb sticks.
I'll assume the 4x4 is for aesthetics more than actual performance??
If that's the case then its fine.

You don't t really need an aftermarket cooler.
If you still want one anyway then spend an extra $10 on the cryorig h7 , apart from being a better cooler than the 212 it also has a matching black/white colour scheme & an offset mount so it won't interfere with the ram slots (the 212 likely would)

I'd also spend an extra $10 on the cx550m personally for future proofing, not a necessity though , the 450m is more than capable of running those components.

This would be a bit faster, overclock to ~3,8GHz on stock cooler, and 6cores/12threads has way more reserve for future games (and will run CPU intensive games like Battlefield1 multiplayer better already). Also- fps will be more fluid, without stutter.PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
