Few days ago my motherboard ( intel dh67bl) gone dead.

Motherboard's led is on but when I press the power button nothing happens even CPU fan is not spinning.

So I decided to buy a new motherboard.

I searched it in local retailer market but the shopkeeper said that processor is too old (ie i7 2600 2nd gen) so I can't get a new motherboard anywhere. I searched again in 2-3 different shop all said same

after that

one shopkeeper said they will fit the processor in some other motherboard ( which is not lga 1155 ).
I think it's not good and I'm much worried now.

What should I do . pls help.

I m using a
gtx 750 graphics card
and
2x 4 GB 1333 MHz ram

My cabinet supports
micro atx
Highest support is standard atx

I have 550 watt psu

Solution
Standard ATX is the same as Full ATX; theses are just different names referring to the same form factor. There is only, from smallest to largest, ITX (mini ITX), mATX (micro ATX), ATX/BTX, eATX(extended ATX), and XL ATX within the possible sizes of motherboards.

You can learn more about motherboard form factors here in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbeh1eRDmsk

If the shopkeeper was explicitly saying they were going to try to fit a LGA1155 socket CPU into a motherboard that has a socket other than that...uhh.....I would be worried.

If you need a replacement motherboard for LGA1155, you have not choice but to try to find one second-hand somewhere.

However, how are you certain that it is the motherboard that is dead? You will need to be more rigorous in your testing methodology to be sure. Simply not powering on with a push of a button is not enough to come to a conclusion. Your PSU could be dead/dying. It might be your cpu that is dead. Or maybe a combination of many things.

I would first try to to look for any obvious signs of bulging capacitors on the motherboard or burn marks. Second, you could try re-seating your ram and removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes. Try booting it up again at this point. If it doesn't work. Look to make sure everything is plugged in correctly and that nothing was accidentally snagged and got unplugged. At this point, you might want to see if it is your power supply. If you have another system with a working one, you can try to switch them into this one and try to boot it up. If you don't have one, you might have to buy a new one, which isn't completely recommended as we aren't certain if it is the culprit. Though, if you were thinking of buying a whole new pc, you could but a psu first just to test if the system will work after that.

*You also have the option of selling your old i7-2600 for to earn some money for a whole new build if you can't get it to work or can't find a replacement motherboard.

I tried psu jump start psu was working

The motherboard I think because everything was working fine but I tried to plug fan led into power led slot also with +/- wire error that was my mistake.
I push the power button it turned on for just 1-2 sec and then it turned off.
I quickly pulled the wrong plug and turned off the main power.
After restalling all plug I tried to power on the PC and since then it is dead

I decided to buy a new motherboard but at shop this event happened. So I want help can my motherboard be repaired. I searched for it today online and find that lga 1155 in available in some sites my budget is 15 k any motherboard which is good there .
then I would like to buy online

I don't want to sell or build new one

No I searched. I think there isn't any physical damage or burn

You can't tell if a PSU is working or not just by jump starting it; this only tells if its absolutely toast or still somewhat alive enough to pump some volts. It is like saying the engine of your car is good just because it started up, even though it stalls all day long on the road.

Testing the professional way, you need to use a multimeter and test each pin individually to make sure you are reading the expected voltages. This would require a fair bit of knowledge and experience. The second option is to buy a handy dandy power supply tester such as this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/PC-Power-supply-tester-LED/dp/B005CTCD6S

However, these testers are only somewhat accurate, but much more so than just simply turning on the PSU and calling it a day.

If your PC actually turned on for a second and powered off, I would really begin to suspect that it is the PSU. How many years old is the PSU anyways? It is fairly common to begin suspecting issues with the PSU after its been used for a good 5+ years.

My psu is 3 years old

Some motherboards with LGA 1155 are available online. Also the same that I was using dh67bl should I buy.
What about the warranty. What is good

A 3 year-old PSU could still be within warranty, so I feel it isn't very likely that it is dead. Just checking, did you have any loose parts or screws in your case at the time your pc initially "died". If it isn't the PSU, it could have been that something shorted out, and its probably your motherboard that is dead.

Assuming the mother is in fact dead, you have just a few options:
1) look for a someone that is selling a used LGA1155 motherboard (either just the motherboard, or as a bundle with a cheaper cpu like a pentium or i3).

2) sell your i7-2600 and look for a used, but also very decent, 3rd gen i7 pc or CPU+MB combo.

3) sell your i7-2600 and buy a new CPU+MB+ram combo.

The one you listed for ₹7000 is really good. It has 2 SATA 6GB ports AND has 4slots for ram. I would definitely bought this one, as it looks like the nicest deal. Its also a Z68, which should be allow overclocking. Though, keep in mind that this board isn't designed for major overclocking. It can handle some minor overclocking (maybe just +15% at best).

For the chipset naming convention for intel, it has a letter and then a number. The letters can be B(business), H(home), Z(???), X(???). The home and business motherboards can't overclock or tweak any major settings in bios. The Z and X allows overclocking and much more control in your bios. You need a Z board and unlocked K cpu to overclock usually. You have an unlocked i7 2600K and the Intel DZ68. This should allow SOME overclocking, but not a lot, due to the lack of 8-pin cpu power connector, a low number of power phases, and a lack of MOSFET cooling.
