Hello Forum,

I have had my Ryzen PC for nearly a month now and it has developed a fault.

When I bought it after a few days the Palit 1070 GPU died as the screen wasn't showing any signal so this was replaced with a MSI 1070 Gaming X. Now, last night after a gaming session of Doom for an hour I exited to the desktop and saw graphical artifacts/weird lines on the screen, Immediately after this I got a BSOD and it said Windows 10 encountered a problem and needs to restart, it also said Video scheduler error or something similar, then it went to 100% and rebooted itself.

Now when turning on the computer it doesn't show anything on the screen. I removed the power wire for a few minutes and tried turning on the PC and it power tripped about 4-5 times and gave me double or triple beeps, this only happened once. Now when I turn on the computer it just gives me a normal beep and the monitor seems to get a signal after about 30 seconds but the screen stays blank.

I have tried to clear CMOS but it still doesn't work.

What could the issue be?

My specs:
AMD Ryzen 1700X
Asus Prime x370-Pro
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3000
Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X
EVGA Supernova G3 750W

Thanks

First thing i would do is reseat all your hardware. Ram, video cards, AICs, PSU cables...anything that is plugged in one way or another. Ensure everything is snug. Heat from electricity can cause parts to work their way free to the point their operation is sporadic or not functioning all together. If reseating your connections does not work you could try using a different monitor/HDTV also if you have a spare video card and/or PSU I would try swapping them out as well one at a time until you find the offending part. If you don't you may need to take it to a tech how has the resources to see which, if any parts are damaged.

The PC was custom built by the shop so I think I'll take it back there for a refund, this has now happened to me twice within a month of purchase. I had an hour's gaming session of Doom and it was running perfectly but just after exiting to desktop I saw lines across the screen and it BSOD'd and never turned on again.

I've tried the monitor on my laptop and it's working perfectly. It's just when connected to the PC it gets a signal (light turns green) but nothing shows on the monitor as it stays blank.

I would have tried all the things you suggested but this might void the warranty.

Thanks for your help

Yes I have two ram modules installed. It had passed two separate tests of Prime 95 which were the small ftts and the blend test for an hour each. I've noticed now when I turn on the PC and I wait few minutes and when I click the power button it instantly shuts off. Normally if it has booted into windows and I click the power button it would take a few seconds before shutting down.

It was bought from a shop so I am going to take it back there.

Thanks for your help
