I just got a new GPU yesterday and I have been trying to get it to work for hours. First when I got it I uninstalled all current gpu drivers to make sure everything goes fine. I turned the pc off, plugged it off everything and installed the new 1060. After I turn my PC on it beeps once (as usual a short beep) and it goes on to the Medion Bios Splash Screeen as usual just that I cant press anything and it wont go past that to windows. I cant open Bios, I cant do anything. After like 20 seconds it beeps once and after a break of like 30 seconds it beeps again. It keeps doing that till it goes to standby mode after like 3 mins. I really need some help asap!

Specs:
New GPU: 6GB MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GT OC Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16
Old GPU: GTX 550 Ti
CPU: i5-3450 @ 3.10GHZ
RAM: 8GB DDR3
PS: FSP450-60EMDN 450 W Output
Mainboard: Medion MS-7728 2.0 (Supports PCI Express and x16)
BIOS INFO:
Brand: American Megatrends Inc.
Version: E7728MLN.30E
Date: 03/19/2012

does the psu have a 6Pin power plug? Did you plug it into the new graphics card?

eventually you will have to switch (if available) some settings in BIOS to run the UEFI GOP graphics card, but most likely without an Bios update from Medion, it won´t work at all.

edit:
Similar thing happened to an user with a gtx 970 and 770

but on this site some users could run newer nvidia cards:
http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3012115

reset the BIOS by clearing CMOS

I did plug it in all correctly with the 6pin power supply. The GPU is working obv cus it shows me the Medion Bios Splash Screen. However I just called Medion and they said its an MSI board that they built in (MSI MS 7728). Then I called MSI and they said that their drivers do not support any medion released msi boards and that its not even compatible with any new hardware since it was a pre built pc. So my question now is if everything will run just fine when I buy a new motherboard? And if so which one should I buy?

Alright so when I install my new motherboard is it necessary for me to use new thermal paste on my cpu? And will I need a new CPU cooler because it may wont fit on the new mobo?

New application of thermal paste should be applied any time you install heatsink on CPU, and moving CPU to new motherboard will also mean re-installing heatsink, so you need it.
As for cooler, depends, but many aftermarket coolers that fit 1155 slot will also fit other slot types. So you will have to check it once you know what motherboard you will use.

Will it fit in old case you mean? Hard to tell, but the old mobo is smaller in both dimensions, so you would have to measure how much space you have inside case - this H77 size is 24.4cm(L) x 24.4cm(W).
As for CPU, it is supported since version 1.2, which has date 2012-03-15, so I guess you should ask a seller what BIOS version it has installed just to be sure.

Wait why are you talking about the entire computer when u say its a disposable computer. I thought you just need to change the motherboard.

a new board with better BIOS/GOP support will do. Not necessary to dispose the whole system. Pre-built systems are made to function as is and not to be upgraded in any way. It´s not impossible to upgrade, but sometimes it is.

It´s an BIOS based and not UEFI/EFI based mainboard, the up to date BIOS installed is newer than the 2.09 on the Medion website. (date of release 01/11/2012).
Don´t know if ShadowDriz tried to update before.
Because the motherboard has the 30E version, maybe the 40E on the Medion homepage could help.

Which Medion PC model number is it?
