Installation of Corsair water cooling help

I have connected the water pump to cha_fan2 and the fan to cpu_fan. Now 3 years after using the computer I wonder why I connected the pump to cha_fan2? Shouldnt it be connected to the cpu_fan? Please help!

No, pump needs to run full speed all the time and connecting to Cpu_Fan would make it variable. Your radiator fans should connect to CPU_Fan.

I would connect the pump to the CPU header since it's the only one with alarm.
you will notice dead fan very quick, but it's impossible to tell that pump is dead without constantly looking at temperatures.
