Hello guys

I just upgraded my rig from

Asus z87-K
I5-4670k
16GB DDR3 2133MHz
GTX 780

to

Asus Z270G Strix
I7-7700K
16GB DDR4 3200MHz
GTX 780

and are getting intensive stuttering when using the mouse while holding keys down on the keyboard. Only when combining the two. It runs smooth if Im only running with the keyboard or looking around with the mouse. I cant do it at the same time as the stutter occurs...

The game I have been testing it in so far is Battlefield 1, which is my maingame atm. It doesnt change anything wether I play it on Low or High. Vsync on or off doesnt matter either.

I use the same 60hz eizo 1920x1080p screen as before. 650W cooler master PSU which should be enough juice if Im not wrong?

The game is being played on a Samsung 120GB SSD with a Razer gaming mouse and a CM Storm devastator keyboard.

Has this ever happened to any of you guys? I have updated to newest bios aswell..

Im thankful for any help regarding this!

I would completely uninstall the software for both of those pieces of hardware. That means delete their folders too. Everything. Download the most recent drivers to a place you will remember and then send uninstall your existing software. There is NOTHING in your specs that would suggest too weak to support a mouse+keyboard. There is something messed up with your keyboard and mouse software.

Hello aquielisunari!

I'll do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro when Im home from work. I cant really point this to a hardware issue, as you say yourself, everything should be more than powerfull enough to run this.

I remember a long time ago I tried changing a games priority to Realtime in Task Manager, and that caused the mouse and keyboard to act up pretty much like this because the game was higher priority than mouse input and keyboard input.

If I swirl around the mouse while running in the game I can actually leave the mouse for 1-2 seconds and still see the mouse moving in game as if its trying to catch up with my movement.

You have my apologies. The hardware I was referring to was your mouse and keyboard. I wasn't suggesting a clean install.

Well a complete wipe of the system on the SSD did the job. Installed windows 10 again followed with the drivers needed. Thats it. It ran butter smooth once again.

Nice :)

If it happens again? That is why I was suggesting a smaller fix. You killed a fly with a sledgehammer. Effective but it won't teach you how to fish.
