Id instead get something like this

-your build doesnt have an SSD. you basically need an SSD at this point. the one i chose is extremely fast and is large enough to store all your games
-i chose the maximus ix hero as i personally prefer the extra usb ports in the back and better general IO
-high speed ram really doesnt do much in terms of gaming performance
-the hard drive i chose just so happens to be cheap and very reliable
-the case is a personal thing, up to you to decide
-i went with a 550w power supply instead. realistically you will never do SLI. its just not worth it unless you do it from the get go
-you dont need extra fans. the ones included are fine and you dont actually need all that much cooling
-the mouse is also a personal thing. i like the g502 more but thats me

The fans I use are to replace the case fans for asthetics, also do I need an ssd because I like the keep above the nzd $3500 budget, with an ssd I will it 4k

you must have an SSD. thats a number one priority. without one, your system would feel like any other office PC you can pick up at a shop

even if you go with a cheaper SSD it would be far beyond what a hard drive can do. if this is not quite affordable just yet, i would suggest going lower on items such as a cheaper motherboard. as for the fans, i do not recommend them even if they are for asthetics. you can achieve a much better lighting effect from using LED strips instead of lighted fans.

ive adjusted it such that it is for new zealand pricing. Im not too sure whether you have sales taxes or not, but we can make further changes such that the price is lower without sacrificing performance

I like the case except I need at least 3 open ports for mouses and stuff, so Im not sure yet, also I like the deepcool captain due to the ability to be able to see a bit of water, also making good asthetics, just to let you know
This is my new build, like it? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/f9Z9QV btw I have a phanteks LED 2m cable, so no more fans!
Edit: Just found a gtx 1080 ti fe gpu for $1300! going for that instead of gtx 1080

The mouse and keyboard should definitely plugged in the back of the case. the mouse and keyboard have quite long wires for that and it would be rather unsightly to put it in the front with a whole bunch of cables dangling.

For the ram, there really isnt any reason to go with higher speed memory over 2666mhz. it doesnt provide much of a real benefit towards performance and only adds cost. i strongly suggest sticking to something cheaper.

For the thermal paste, you dont need any. if you want to go with the deepcool cooler its fine, they are all basically made by the same company anyway. the stock paste works fine and there isnt much of a point to get some more.

Id strongly suggest getting a card with an aftermarket cooler. although the 1080ti performs much better, getting a blower card like the founders edition does add a fair bit of noise. custom cards have fans that dont even spin until you actually start gaming and is much more ideal

Hi, finished building, problem is that when I hit the on button it works, but the mouse and keyboard I have plugged in do not. It is the same with my hdmi cable. I am not sure what to do
