Sound not working on new custom-built pc

So I finally got my new pc yesterday. Plugged my monitor into my gpu using an HDMI cable.
It already had windows 10 installed, everything is fine except that there is no sound. when I check Playback devices I see that all 4 Nvidia outputs and Realtek high definition audio are "not connected".
I really need help :(

Does your monitor have an audio output? If so try plugging a set of headphones into the output to see if audio is indeed transmitted via the HDMI output from your GPU.

You have made sure that audio is disabled in Nvidia Control Panel?
