Hello,my friend's PC won't work and we need help to find out which part is dead. So here is what happend, last night he accidently put his pc to sleep, and during sleep he pressed power button to shutdown pc completely. This morning he tried to power on pc but it won't boot, fans are spinning,no beeps and power and hdd led are not working. He checked the psu, hard drive and gpu in another pc and everything works fine. Than he tried to start pc with only cpu in the mobo and when he done that fans started to spin and tha pc restarted and than shutdown. There was no beeps at all so we are not sure is it motherboard or cpu that died. Do you have any idea how we can be sure which of this two died?
PC Specs:
Asus P5Q SE2
Intel Xeon E5430
8gb DDR2 Ram
HD 7770
560w Blueberry PSU

It is most likely there is a bad ram stick because you checked the psu and hard drive and gpu. If fans are spinning it means mobo is good.
Also if your computer even turned on it also means cpu is fine.

Thanks for answer,pc don't want to turn on,and fans are spinning but it doesn't giving any beeps,it should beep without ram and without gpu. So we are not sure is it cpu or motherboard but something is bad since it's not posting and not beeping, also power and hdd led on the case won't work for some reason.
