max gpu to mb bandwith

hi guys i am a bit green on the pci-e bandwith ganes and x8/x16 stuff so i was just upgrading my pc and its time for my gpu so i was asking what will be the best gpu that can max a gen 1 x16 slot..
the motherboard in question is asrock g41m-vs3 (ikr old 775 socket buy now i am using a xeon x5440 so i am pleased,i only play lol and csgo so its more then enough)

well its a quad 2.83 ghz and i mod the cpu so it can work on 775 ik its old i had a 9800 gt but died recently and i am using a gt 630 rn

so max i should go is 1050 there was a nice deal on 1050 ti making it like 5$ more expensive then normal 1050 so i think i will go with that anyway thank you :)

You can go get as high end card as you want, but its power will be wasted, even that 1050 will have more power than your cpu can handle, but it is quite modern card and will serve better than 750ti as it very low powered card, but considering age of your board just to be sure try get card that have additional power connector.

6%? where on earth are you getting that number? That is a 9 year old xeon cloked at 2.8ghz, its going to bottleneck a lot more than 6% of that 1050 in modern games. There will be a LARGE hit in performance when using that 1050 with that xeon I would say closer to 50% depending on the game, compared to say a modern quad core i5 6600 or something with a 1050.
