That depends, do you have the standard size, or small form factor? Seeing as you said "dell optiplex 755 desktop", my guess is probably not.

It should fit in the 755 MT (Mini Tower Computer), but not the DT (Desktop Computer), SFF (Small Form Factor Computer), or USFF (Ultra Small Form Factor Computer).

Depends on the case you have....I see 4 kind of cases...On the 1st it will on the other 3, no!

Why do you need more power? Any case other than the MT will require a low profile GPU. Usually they don't need much power. 95W CPU limit,75W GPU limit. Even the MT is limited to single slot GPU unless you willing to cut things.
