Hey Guys,

I have recently had my computer worked on by a local computer repair company because I was floundering with infinite Windows 10 repair loop. So I have the computer back now, everything for the most part seems to be function correctly and i am slowly tweeking everything back to my personal preferences. During the repair they determined that my Windows files were corrupted and completed reinstalled Windows 10 ( 64 bit Pro). In my setup Windows and essential files are loaded on a SSD (C: ,Boot Drive) and everything else goes on a mechanical drive (D: ). My issue(s) is that when reviewing the various systems on my computer i noticed that my mechanical drive (1TB) now has less then 50% free space; while i do not remember exactly how much free space remained before the repair, i would feel confident saying that i was around 30% storage usage. So this appears just shy of double. I am not sure if they made a mistake when the backed up my data or what.

I used CCleaner to get a better idea of what was going on with my storage and two things stood out two me.
1) The duplicate file finder tool revealed that there are a lot of matching files that are pathed to both my current user file as well as my previous user profile.
2) A 200+GB compressed file with contents that are all " backup file #.zip" also pathed to my previous user profile.

So after that long winded explanation, my question is any suggestions on whether i can remove these files and how would i go about weeding out all the files associated with the previous user profile.

Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Sounds like they backed up your profile to the second drive. Why not ask the place that worked on the computer what they did instead of guessing? Do you see folders that you did not put there? If you did not, OK to delete them. Aside from that, you still have half the drive space free, the extra files won't make your coffee taste worse or your car to break, just leave them there.
