My hard disk is overheating too much

i have an 2 year old hard disk which heats up to 50+ degrees and i have a question does the connection of the hard disk affects the temperature and performance? i have opened the side panel but even though it is over heating my room temperature is pretty high too but it doesnt affect the other hard disk it is a segate 1TB hard disk the 256GB hard disk is the one which gets over heated and it has many important files i dont want to lose them please help me!!

some cases like mine had a 80mm fan for the hard drive bay that could help in the cooling of your drive if applicable

look up your drives spec sheet and see whats listed as normal operating temps range

It is, as stated, an old HDD. It's going to get hot, and there's little to do besides minimize the usage, or put it near a fan. Many cases these days come with their drive cages installed near the front fans, which is purposely for this issue.
