Hi can anyone help me or tell me.
If this is possible. I have a internet wich is rj11 connet telephone line and have a wifi router with wan rj45. How can i set this up. I dont want to buy modem. Can i crimp wire one end rj11 and other end rj45. Will this work and how to set up this on my router.

Solution
You need a modem since your router does not have a modem build.

The modem converts the internet signal to a signal that can be used by your router.

If you would plug in the phone line into the router, the router would not know what to do with it.

RJ11 and RJ45 are strickly physical connectors they do not convert from say dsl that phone lines use to ethernet that is used by computers. That is the function of a modem and it just happens to also convert the physical connector.

Think of it this way if you were to cut off a power cord and splice a rj45 onto that does not make it into powerline network device. You would fry you pc.

Let me guess, your room is too far from the modem, so you want to move the WIFI router up to your room and your room has a RJ11 where the ISP gives you the service.

U don't want to buy a modem? you don't have to, because you can only have ONE and only one modem in the house, and if you are not able to move the existing modem to your room, oh well.
