So, can I overclock my I5 7600k to 4.2GHz with 212 EVO? And if yes can I go higher? How higher? Safe of corse. Thank you!

Solution
Hey, I'm running my 7600K at 4.8Ghz stable w/ 4.4Ghz cache @ 1.35v on the Hyper 212 evo/led temps around 65-75, using Arctic Silver Ceramique. I benchmark at 4.9 stable but need a little more voltage, so I keep it at 4.8 and am more then happy. (Going Liquid Soon)

I'll be printing the delidding tool soon and then it can only get better! Works great for stream transcoding on twitch while playing simultaneously. The extra 1Ghz helps!

4.2 on the stock cooler is doable, with the 212 and good airflow, you won't have any trouble.

The i5-7600K boosts to 4.2GHz at stock speeds - so you should be able to simple enable "max performance" profiles and run at 4.2GHz consistently.

The 212EVO may potentially allow you to OC a little above the 4.2GHz boost, but probably not by too much (will depend on the voltage required).

I don't know much about OC can you explain to me how voltage works? How it affect the CPU and the other things? Thanks mate

In a nutshell, to push past the stock speeds, you'll need to increase the voltage.
Increased voltage = increased heat.

Increased voltage (within reason), won't impact anything, other than allowing you to obtain higher clock speeds - provided you can cool it appropriately and your board is sufficient for the task.

This link will provide you with some reading: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-overclocking-guide,4593.html

Until you're comfortable with what OCing is and the pros/cons of it, I wouldn't suggest you touch anything re: voltages etc.

Ok, I will put the original coming with the 212 EVO thermal compound can I still OC?
