so I just built a new computer with a ryzen cpu and i knew before that ram overclocking was a little hard but i can't seem to get mine higher than 2400Mhz.

Specs:
ryzen 5 1600
asRock killer sli x370
2x8Gb corsair lpx 3000Mhz (cmk16gx4m2b3000c15)
sapphire r9 fury

I'd really want to be able to get my memory higher than 2400Mhz
the cas latency is 14-14-14-35 at 1.2volts
if you have any idea on how to get the memory clock higher feel free to help me

Solution
there is many videos on youtube talking about this, gamers nexus for example has one talking about it

usually good ram, a recent bios version and a little patience can make the ram go up to 3400 mhz, but that depends on the ram, yours is not being overclocked if it was sold to run at 300mhz, 2400 is sort of compatibility mode

does he talk about timings and voltages? this is what seems to stop me from being able to get higher frequencies
