Hi, so as i referred in the title I was applying thermal paste to my PC's CPU, put everything back and when I started it, it turned on, but it didn't beep. It's basically on, every fan is working but it just doesn't boot.
Does anybody know what he could be ?
Thanks in advance!

Solution
really look over the pins in the socket, I had a few bent pins on my LGA 775 socket with a Q6600 and I managed to straighten them with a sewing needle.

I think this is likely the only logical cause left, bedsides freak massive static attack.

I'm going through it right now once more. I'm gonna switch the RAM slots, I took out the cooler and CPU and re-sitted them. My CPU in an Intel Quad Core, 'bout 7/8 years old.
I'll reply in a bit if there are any updates

this may sound dumb , but i have no idea how to do that. I should check a guide right ?

I honestly have no idea if there is a guide for that. somewhere near the bottom of the motherboard there should be a coin battery that looks around the size of a nickel. there should be a tab that you press to make it pop out, then after 30 seconds of the PC being unplugged, put it back in the way it was, and then plug everything in and try a reboot. some boards also have a jumper that might say something like CLR CMOS just put something metal across those two pins for about 5 seconds.

So i could only take it off as of now, I'll give it a couple of minutes, put it in again, give it 2 more minutes and I'll come back with an ansewr.
