Hi, I'm Matt.
I have an i7-7700k z270 processor.
I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FOUNDERS EDITION GAMING, 11GB GDDR5X, LED, DX12 OSD Support (PXOC) Graphic Cards 11G-P4-6390-KR.
I have an evga supernova 1000 g2 power source.
I want to know what is the best motherboard and tower case that I should buy.
I was thinking about getting an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX or a GIGABYTE AORUS GA-Z270X-Gaming 9 Gaming Motherboard LGA1151 Intel Z270 4-Way SLI ATX DDR4 Motherboard.
I have no idea what kind of tower case I need.
I'd really appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Matt.

Given the choice, I'd go with the Asus board. I personally like the TUF lineup of boards, but the Maximus series is more for overclocking, TUF is kinda down n dirty get the job done. The AI Suite software, while still a lil buggie is also a lil more fleshed out than the Gigabyte software. Also, the Aorus boards are kinda gimmicky IMO, I own a Gaming 7 and it's nice, but it's a lot more than the non Aorus Gaming 7 and all you get is lighting that's kinda wonky to use. You can set it to change color, but you only get to choose from a handful of colors, which makes change with temp go from sounds awesome to Oh, now the board is orange.

The cost of the motherboard doesn't matter. I just want the best one for a gaming rig.
The cost of the case doesn't matter but I don't want a bunch of useless features or designs that I don't need.
I really just want the best case for the job. I don't need flashy colors or lights.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Matt.

Thanks. Are there any motherboards other than the ones above that you might think are the best?
