asus 97 aura sound problems

so i put together my new build and have no sound.i have only my old logitech stereo speakers and sub that connect with one jack.

Sound problems have always been my weakness so any help would be greatly appreciated.the mb has both hd sound as well as ac97.

Let me know if you need more info.thanks.

tried that one and no joy.i think it may be something in the sound settings but not sure.i have the ac97 pluggged into my mb because of my old speaker setup,but tried hd as well.selected both as my default device and neither worked.ive had problems like this before,just cant remember what i did to fix it.lol

nvidia hd audio
nvidia virtual audio device (wave extensible)(wdm)
realtek hd audio
usb cam

did that and selected the hd sound.worked like a charm.have to get used to the fact that plugging in my headphones shuts my other speakers down.thank you so much for your help.
