A decent gaming PC build under INR 50,000? (Also, how's the one that I made?)

I've been using a laptop for quite a while because of college but now that I'm finally done with it, I'm thinking of building my first PC. Not setting the budget too high as I don't yet have a job but I still want to able to play games like GTA V at tolerable settings and at least 40fps consistently.
Here's what I have so far:

Processor: AMD FX-6300
I chose this one for its six cores and relatively easy capabilities to be overclocked.

GPU: AMD Rx 460
Best one in its range, right?

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01
Don't know much about cases, this one looked cool and capable of fitting my stuff.

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Motherboard
Don't know much about motherboards either and really confused about it.

PSU: Corsair VS650
Perhaps a bit overpowered but the lower ones aren't too cheap either so..

Primary storage and boot drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

RAM: Kingston FURY HyperX

Case fan: CoolerMaster Mega flow 200

CPU cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper 212
For future overclocking

Optical Drive: ASUS DVD writer
Certain games like GTA V are too big to big downloaded through steam so I'll be buying physical copies of them, hence an optical drive

Sound Card: ASUS Xonar DG
Do I need one?

So that's basically everything I have so far. I'm a noob at PC building so any suggestions and modifications to the build are welcome. Also, the links given are in Indian currency, the USD makes them cost a bit less but the difference isn't too big per component. From the USD point of view, my budget is about $650. Also, this does not include the monitor, will be getting a 1080p one but that's out of the PC budget.

Hi,

Actually the FX 6300 is not the best choice here, it is a dying platform (AM3+) and there is better performance to be had. Chose the i5-6600 instead which has better performance, even if you overclock the FX.

  • ■ Upped the GPU from the RX 460 to a GTX 1050Ti
    ■ Kept the case
    ■ Gave you a B150 mobo which has good features and connectivity
    ■ Do not buy VS series PSU's, not good. And you don't need 650W, it is a waste, this 450W is better quality and will do fine. It cannot be found at Amazon India but the IT Depot is local to India.

    ■ Nothing wrong with the HyperX except that you only have one stick so the RAM will not run in dual channel mode. Upped the RAM to 16GB
    ■ The 200mm fan you selected won't fit in this case, added a good 120mm. Better to do the build first and then see if you need more cooling and get what you need.
    ■ This system will not overclock so you probably will be able to use the stock cooler. If you run hot you can always add later
    ■ The Lite-On works well, I have used them in builds before

Wow this is really a much better upgrade. Guess it was worth posting this here before going ahead with my build. Everything that you suggested I liked but the problem is that amazon.in is charging an extra import fees and makes the overall build to cost INR 54k, slightly over my budget.
Also, what about the sound card? Don't I need one?

Yeah, that is one problem with Amazon India, their pricing doesn't always come up right on PCPartPicker. Take a look at the IT Depot website, I find the prices are as good or better than Amazon.
https://www.theitdepot.com/

Unless you want really good sound like a stereo you can just use the sound off the mobo, works and sounds just fine.

If you wanted to drop the price a bit you could either get 2X4GB RAM or a single 8GB stick until you can upgrade to 16GB. Or just leave it at 8GB. No need to pay for anything more than 2400MHz for this build.

I just noticed that the motherboard that you've chosen supports a DDR4 RAM up to only 2133 Mhz while the RAM itself is 2400 Mhz. Wouldn't there happen any compatibility issue when I plug a 2400 Mhz into that motherboard?
