Yes it is compatible. But your processor might be too weak to justify the card. There could be a bit of bottleneck.
MT is probably the mini tower version which has a 300w psu. Ideally it should be enough but a better unit is always recommended as the stock proprietary units are usually junk.
  2. trying to avoid building a complete rig not sure the stock intel board can take a cpu upgrade and is that really logical with such an old set up? ideas are welcome.
  3. Goes like this. 1050 is pretty powerful. Say its strength is 40x. But when paired with that processor, it will perform something like 30x, and not 40x. On the other hand, a card like 750ti, whose total strength is upto 30x, will perform 30x when paired with that cpu. But the flip side is, if you choose the 1050, there is an advantage that you can take it to your next build, should you choose to do so.
Not sure whats your location, but both 1050 and 750ti might be in the same price range.
So those are the facts in a nutshell, now its your call.
    Hope this helps.
  4. No, it won't fit. See this older thread with picture: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1908764/compatible-video-card-dell-optiplex-960.html

BTX vs ATX case means even the minitower can only fit a single-slot card.
