Hi, my main HDD started booting into a blank black screen a few days ago. I tried a bunch of fixes, but nothing worked until I did a clean install of windows on a new SSD.

I was able to finally run a repair CD and restore the original to a previous point, but now the only way I can get into my OS with all my settings and everything is by having both drives connected.

If I disconnect my SSD, I'll boot into a completely blank screen. But if both are connected now, I have the option of booting into one or the other, and that's the only way I can get on here. But I want to migrate my OS to my SSD eventually and I can't do that until I find out what my computer's issue is!

Solution
During the setup or repair of Windows, there were system files put on the second drive. Cleanest way of fixing this is to remove your second drive, do a clean setup of Windows on the SSD and then copying your files from the other drive. You will need to re-install your programs but your files will be easy to copy back over.
