I got Thermal Paste on my motherboard (not on cpu socket)

Solution
Most thermal pastes shouldn't be. I agree that it might be worth cleaning it off with isopropyl alcohol before powering the system up just to be safe though. Preferably with a high percentage of alcohol (90%+) to reduce the amount of moisture left behind.

You should not worry about it. You can clean it using isopropyl alcohol, or alcohol swabs, which you can get from the pharmacy or drugstore.

OP downvotes my post, expecting others to know without a doubt exactly what mystery-thermal compound they put on a particular heat sink. >_>

If you want to know for sure, contact Cooler Master. Or, you know, just clean it off as best as you can. Most likely, it's not something that's electrically conductive or capacitive. Whether it is, or not, it would probably be best to clean it off either way.
