So I have a laptop with an m.2 drive with windows and a few games installed on it, and a hard drive for storage of extra games. I'm looking to build a new computer, but I was wondering if I could just use the m.2 and hard drive in my new build and keep windows installed on the m.2 or will I need to wipe the drive? Would I have to do anything since I'm changing from a laptop to a desktop?

You may have to do a re-install since some of the drivers may be different. Hosever, you will need a new key, unless you have a MS account tied to the key. Then you should be able to move it over with no problem.

Honestly, I recommed moving game set ups, documents and other data to Google Drive or USB 3.0, and just re-install Windows to avoid any problems.
