Hey guys. I'm looking to replace my stock CPU cooler, it's just so damn loud.
Sadly, I've got no experience with hardware on that level, so I thought I'd ask for a little advice, to make it a little more manageable.

I've got a Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz Processor CPU
I've got a MSI Mainboard H110 M Gaming LGA1151 Max 32 GB/2x DDR

Anyway, I got a AeroCool Aero-800 Case for PC - White, and with that, the sides can be removed. I can't see the entire back of the mobo though, only a little metal plate with 4 screws. My question is, to anyone with experience with the case and motherboard; would it be possible to replace the cooler without having to unplug everything, remove graphics card and mobo, and so on?

One other thing. Paste. I'm uncertain as to which to get, how much to use, and how to apply it. Also, what about the paste previously used, shouldn't that be removed first, and if so, how?

I hope you guys have some helpful advice, thanks in advance, and have a good day!

As long as there is a cutout like

behind your CPU you can remove the old cooler and replace the new one without complete disassembly. That's the bracket for a 212 Evo that I am using with a 4690K.

212 Evo. Thermal compound comes with it. Cryorig H7 Paste comes with it. Cryorig is a little bit better.

Everybody has their own "best" method. I used two small grain rice size dabs and spread with the clamshell my CPU came in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2MEAnZ3swQ More is not better. You are looking to fill microscopic valleys to help expedite heat transfer crom the lid to the base of the sink and on and on. Using too much can slow down that transfer resulting in higher temps..

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010 can be used with a micro-fiber dust-free cloth to remove any old paste/compound. Other people use 90% or stronger isopropyl alcohol.

There are many other videos over at Youtube showing how to remove the stock heatsink, apply and removing thermal paste and other parts of that process.

I think I'm Going with The Hyper 212 Led unless there is an alternative with blue led as on of the reer fans which come with the case. Also do I really need the Arctic Silver Arcticlean Thermal material Remover & Surface Purifier ACN-60ML ? to remove the paste.

Do you really need it? It's designed to dissolve and remove the paste. There's alternatives not designed for that task but will work which is why I offered one of them.

You can replace the existing fan with one of your choice as long as it's designed to be used with a CPU like https://www.amazon.com/Antec-TriCool-LED-Cooling-3-Speed/dp/B00066FHEW. You can also look to fan controllers.

I don't understand how the Antec TriCool 120mm Blue LED Cooling Fan with 3-Speed Switch works can I put it on the hyper 212 evo or led and it will change the leds to blue?
