Dark souls 3 65 degrees

I have this issue with temperatures on my i5 4690k CPU. Usually when I browse the web and watch streams or youtube videos the temperatures of the CPU hover around 45+ degrees but as soon as I boot up dark souls 3 or something similar the temperature of the CPU jumps to 65+ degrees. I was wondering if this is normal since I'm using a stock cooler.

Yup, that temp is perfectly safe.

Thats well withing the accepted thermal range of your processor, and the heat output will increase the more you tell it to do.

No damage at all, your CPU can easily go into the 70's (even higher) without issue and if you CPU does reach a dangerous point the the system will actually shut down to prevent damage.

Not really unless your talking about 90C+ temps, only overclocking it with excessive voltage would damage it quickly (electromigration). Since your using it at stock it'll probably end up out-dated before it goes bad.
