confuse about ram

Solution
Always check your motherboard's compatibility list to verify if a component should work with it or not. That being said, so long as the RAM meets the system specs you should be fine. The Hyper X sticks are fairly common, and if one set works, then you should be able to add more with the same specs provided you have enough slots for them.

Only downside to adding a single 8GB stick along with the two 4GB sticks is it may disable "Dual channel mode" for the original pair. If you can get another set of dual 4GB sticks, you should be able to run them in the same configuration as the first set with no problems.

That being said, you should still be able to add that 8GB stick and things still work.
