Afternoon friends.

I recently got parts for a brand new PC.
No existing system (only laptop, so I can't get drivers if required because I have no OS installed).
Assembling parts outside of case.
Tested:
PSU short with paper clip
CPU and fan POST check (beeps)
RAM check (got into BIOS with mobo VGA) fyi my ram is single channel Kingston DDR4-2400 (didn't have that part in PCPartpicker)

Now the problem starts with installing the graphics card.
Tried multiple PCIe slots with multiple RAM slots.
Upgraded my BIOS to most recent version.
Connected 8pin power connector.
Slotted correctly (heard click! And when lifted doesn't come out).
Went into BIOS and checked that main video output was PCIe (not that I have intergrated video anyways)

Please comment if any additional info is required.
Any other BIoS settings I could touch? (Legacy or something, not that knowledgeable with BIOS)

So sad it's Saturday and I was waiting for my system.. It's a weekend :(

But thanks for reading my post

Solution
I actually don't know about onboard hdmi. so I don't want to tell you something wrong about it.
And if you plugged your graphic card in mobo then you must use vid out from graphic card, not from mobo.

One more thing, try your graphic card on another computer (like friend's pc). and don't forget to use hdmi to hdmi from graphic card to monitor.
if still nothing is happens, then it may be problem with your graphic card.

I also had same issue with newly build pc.
If you are using vga monitor or other analog port monitor, then you need an active adaptor to connect your gtx 1070 with monitor.
You can use active hdmi to vga adaptor (or whatever port you want to connect ) to connect graphic card to monitor.

Since nvidia disabled support for analog signals in graphic card of 10 series, You need atleast a active adaptor or hdmi monitor.

This is the link for example

Thanks for the answer bhagu220.
Got a new monitor too :)
BenQ something and it has VGA DVI HDMI so no worries about that.
Just to add some info, when i boot with ram to get into BIOS I use the VGA on mobo.
When I use the HDMI on mobo I get no signal.
Read somewhere that HDMI may need drivers?
My cable is alright since I use it on my laptop to monitor.

Another Q
After installing GPU should I use the vid out on the graphics card or mobo or doesn't matter?
Cheers
