I built this PC over a year ago. Recently I've been hearing the fan get noticebly louder when I do very basic things, like click on a new web page on internet. I have an I7 4790k with a Cryorig H7 fan. It's not the best fan but better than the stock fan I presume? The sound is very noticeable when there is no other noise in the room. Is this normal for others?

I'm using CPUID Moniter. It displays CPU fan RPM hovering around 370 to 470 RPM when on a browser. Also my CPU fan setting in the BIOS is set to the default speed, not silent or performance mode. I play alot of games so I don't know if silent mode will be good for my rig.

most advanced motherboards come with a program that lets you set your various fan speeds depending on cpu temperature. My Gigabyte mb lets me set cpu fan and 4 case fans to speed up when cpu temperature hits certain points; I use 4 different levels of speed vs cpu temp for each fan.

what is your cpu temp when the fan speed gets higher?

I have my fan profile set to standard.
