So my power supply broke so i got a new one (corsair rm650x) so i put it in and plugged everything into it but it still wont power on, i checked everything i could but it doesnt make sence why it wont turn on. Please give me some answers thats would be greatly appreciated

Hi - List your sys specs please.
What was the make & model of the PSU that "popped"? Some lower end, typically
referred to as "junk PSU's" don't have sufficient protections built in and when they go,
they can take something else with it, i.e. mobo, gpu, cpu, etc.

It appears that may be what happened, but without knowing your specs & PSU details,
it's just a SWAG.

Looks like a capacitor/ choke in your old PSU exploded for some unknown reason, most likely overloading, overheating or voltage spiking.
This failure not only took out your PSU, but most likely your motherboard or GPU together because of a sudden short circuit. Possibly even your RAM chips and CPU.
Test your components on another board or run without RAM, without a GPU, if it does not POST into BIOS, hear for an error sound. If no sound is heard, very likely your motherboard is fried, though less likely it could be your CPU. If it did enter BIOS, your CPU and board is okay, and most likely your GPU is dead.

I dislike to be the bearer of bad news, but something died in your PC.

I just had a six-year old Coolmax power supply blow out on me. I replaced it, wired everything up and the computer wouldn't start. Apparently some plug I was sure was well-seated wasn't -- probably the CPU power or the main mobo power. After maybe 90 minutes of fiddling, I got things running again. Good luck to you.
