I'm in the market for an upgrade i have several choices of cards. I will list them below.

GYGABYTE AUROS RX580, Core Clock 1439 MHz (OC Mode) / 1425 MHz (Gaming Mode)
260$

ASUS STRIX OC RX480, Boost Clock OC Mode: 1330 MHz, Gaming Mode: 1310 MHz

GIGABYTE GTX1060 Xtreme Gaming, Boost Clock 1873 MHz in OC mode, 1847 MHz in Gaming mode
236$

EVGA GTX1060 SSC, Core Clock 1607 MHz, Boost Clock 1835 MHz
220$-225$

Keep in mind that the AMD Cards are 8GB and the NVIDIA Cards are 6GB.

Which of these would you recommend and why? Also i added a lower tier 1060 because its at a good price, all of these are within my budget. which is no more than 300$.

My CPU is a i5-3570K 4.2 GHZ.
PSU is 850W
My monitor is 1080P and is not Freesync or Gsync.

Thank you.

1060 roughly equals a 580.

That said a 580 will consume MUCH more power. I think it's something around 350 watts vs 200 watts.

Now with that said a 480 is not far behind, you can get it for much cheaper and get a free game. That'd be a win in my book. I'd even go as far as recommend looking for a 4GB 480 and see how much you can save with that. Gamers Nexus has done some testing and they showed that the extra VRam was only useful in extreme mode in Mirrors Edge where the visual gains were subjective at best.

I think you should buy the rx 480 there is no doubt that it wont run AAA games and you get a game for free.
if you go with the rx 580 you will get some more framerate like 5-13 fps more than the rx 480.
If you buy the rx 480 you can in some point buy another one and put them in crossfire.
For the 1060 i think you shouldnt be bothered becouse they arent as good.

If you need more info just ask :D
