I just recently built my first PC. My brother insisted that I didn't need ryzen or an intel i7 and that am3+ will do me just fine. I was on a budget and still had 16 gig ddr3 ram and am3+ cpu I had from my old pc and he insisted to stick with that for my budget. I got a 970 pro gaming motherboard. Evga 1060 ssc. Gskill 16 gig ddr3 ram and my old amd fx 4xxx cpu. (I know my cpu sucks). I can play games on ultra settings just fine, but cant stream, it drops my fps way low and the stream is choppy but still viewable. my cpu is usually utilizing a lot (upwards of 90%) I did some research and I could have updated to a better build for only $350 more than I spent even though i wouldn't be using my current ram. Should I just buy an amd fx 8xxx? or Should i pretty much build a new one and sell my current build. Will my current build still be relevant in a year? Let me hear your intake.
