Is an SSD worth it?

Solution

It is worth it. SSD boots up your computer more quicker. It can basically make your computer much faster as opposed to the traditional HDD which is quite slow.
SSD restart PC time: 19 seconds
HDD restart PC time: Around 1 minute 20 seconds
Levels.

A 250GB or 500GB SSD is the best thing to install in a computer these days and combined with a mechanical HDD with a lot of space is the ultimate solution for any comuter. not just for speed but it helps keeps importent data safe because you would just keep your OS and programs on the SSD while other files are kept on the HDD

It depends where your budget is. If I had $100 to invest in my PC I would invest that money into a better CPU or GPU. Having an SSD expedites boot times, quickens productivity, reduces games load times but it can be left out until someone can afford to make that leap. I am looking at a 1070 or 1080 for my next build. Do I buy the 1070 and an 256GB SSD(Samsung Evo) and storage drive or do I buy 1080 and only the storage drive(WD Blue 1TB)? I can add an SSD later and cloning software is usually included with those drives. For me the 1080 is worth it more than an SSD. But when I can afford it I will be installing a 500GB SSD in my future build.

Well I think I will be able to get the SSD while not leaving other important parts behind.

Thanks
