i5 showing only 3 cores

i have i5 3335s and in cpu-z its showing only 3 cores and threads..
i tried msconfig and the maximum that i saw its 3 but yesterday it was 4 .. i dont know how it happend
does any one know how to fix it?

That chip is faulty. It is missing one core. CPUs usually have an even number of cores/threads. This model has 4.

I suggest you return the whole AIO PC/iMac (return the chip") and get a new model.
This chip should be binned as a non HT 2 core Pentium/Celeron.
