Hi, i have recently purchased some new parts for a pc i will be building, but i am wondering whether it would be possible to keep my old HDD from my previous computer and not have to reinstall windows?

My previous system had a Radeon graphics card and Intel CPU, and my new build will have a GTX 970 and a Ryzen 5 1600.

Could i maybe just delete the previous drivers and let windows detect the new ones after ive installed the old HDD into the new computer or wouldn't that work? I would very much appreciate some help and if you need further info, please don't hesitate to ask.

In advance, thank you for your help.

Solution
Be prepared for the likely event that is simply will not boot up.
You might get lucky though. But do prepare for that.

What OS is it? You may even need a new OS license.
