In what time, would the 1070 stop being a high-end gpu?

Hi! Like the title says, I would like to know in what time would the gtx 1070 stop being a high end gpu. For the reason, that I'm going for vacation for 2 month in june without taking my pc and when I come back, I believe I'm gonna think I have an old gpu. xD So.. When more or less, would the gtx 1070 stop being a high-end gpu? Thank you..

Pretty much as soon as the GTX 2070 (or whatever it will be called) hits the market. You should expect subsequent generations to outperform current ones. Nothing to be concerned about, really.

with AMD already coming out with there next line of GPU's i wouldn't be surprised to see new NVIDIA 2xxx series GPU late this summer or in the fall

I don't understand what you mean by 'high end'. Do you mean high in price? It's not high end now, compared to the 1080s. In performance? That depends on games and resolution. In performance for example, it will be high end at 1080p for a long, long time.

conormcgregor809 I consider the GTX 1060 and 1070 mid-level and the GTX 1080, 1080 Ti and Titan X(P) as high end. With that said, I think the 1070 will be able to play games with ultra settings for at least the next twelve months.
