Hello,

I'm having some trouble setting up RAID 10 for my Ryzen 1800x on Windows 10 x64. Right now, the OS is installed on a 250gb SSD and there are 4x 2tb harddrives configured to RAID 10 using the amd RAID configuration utility. In the bios, I switched to raid mode but am now having issues with windows recognizing any of the storage drives.

When booting, windows blue screens with the message, "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE," so my first thought was that some driver wasn't installed. I then tried to update the BIOS and install the AMD raid driver from https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

The bios was successfully updated but I could not get the raid driver to install. Trying to run the raid driver installer, windows gave the notification, "Does not support this operating system: WNT_10.0H_64"

i also tried to re-install windows with raid enabled then install the driver during windows setup. I installed the driver located in the 'PT_RAID\RAID_driver\WT64A' directory in the download. After the install completed, windows still did not list any drives that the OS could be installed on.

So I'm kinda stuck on what to try next. If anyone can give suggestions or point out any flaws in installation I will love you forever. Thank you!

Just sent em a ticket, will post back here if anything of interest happens...

Solution

i have the same issu found any solution?

OK progress here.
- I turned raid on in the BIOS
- I turned the compatibly-boot thing on (the 3-letter combination, CBS or something)
- Went to install windows, had the b350 raid drives on my USB
- Clicked on the 'load drivers' (or whatever) -button:
I loaded the driver in the PT_RAID\RAID_bottom\WT64A -folder. At this point no drives were detected.
I loaded the driver in PT_RAID\RAID_driver\WT64A -folder. Now it detects all drives, but incorrectly shows my old RAID0.
I loaded the driver in RAID_Configuration -folder.
Installed windows on my SSD
Remember to do it in that order! It didn't work before cause I think I loaded the driver first, and then the bottom one.

So now I have succesfully installed windows on raid mode.. but I don't know how I'm going to solve my existing raid0 not being detected. Maybe I'll have re-assemble my old system and backup my raid to a new 4tb drive..

I have a Ryzen 7 1700/crosshair hero vi system. I have installed windows 10 on a m.2 NVME ssd thats only 250GB. I configured 3 SSDs in software (Windows) RAID 0, for extra storage. the raid works but after running a disk benchmark I only get about 540MB/s seq reads that is the speed of one SSD.. So I tried setting SATA to RAID mode in BIOS and got a similar error "INACCESSIBLE_DEVICE".

My question is can I load the drivers from the simple web application "AMD RAIDXpert Utility 376 MB 17.10 3/14/2017" (download and run from the browser) or do I have to re-build the array from the BIOS and load the drivers so Windows can can access the array.?
