Hi, just recently, my wireless connection seems to be having problems. I'll be getting good connection speeds with everything working fine, and then out of no where my connection speed drops significantly and I begin to experience what I can only describe as network stuttering.

My connection speed will jump up and down rapidly. Normally, reinstalling my network drivers fixes it for about an hour, but not always. I am using a Trendnet N600 Wireless Adapter, and a Netgear AC1750 router. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty much working as designed. Wireless is extremely susceptible to outside interference. The most common being all your neighbors also trying to use wireless. There is only limited amounts or radio frequency available and everyone is trying to get all they can. The results are everyone stomps on each other.

Pretty much the standard stuff you can try but it does not work all that well in areas that have lots of wifi users. Force the router to only use 20mhz channels. Try changing the channels your router uses, the auto setting does not always work the best. Try channel 1,6,11 on the 2.4 and any of the 9 or so option on 5g.

Still even if you select something that works now a neighbor may start using his wireless that was...

What is really bad is the newest tri band routers many people are using attempts to use almost all the radio bandwidth for itself. It will use 2/3 of the 2.4g band and 8 out of 9 channels on the 5g band.
