I have an issue, my MOBO Asus B85M-G does not support (on supported memory list) Geil PC3-12800 CL 11-11-11-28 but KInston that I have installed is 8 GB and its the same. What should I do?

Did you recently buy either of these ram sets? I can vouch that having not supported ram does open up issues that may or may not be so obvious. If you purchased recently, you should return and get whats on the supported list.

If not, then sell on ebay and buy the correct ram. There's no way to make a non supported ram to be supported. Sometimes ram not on the supported list may work fine but my experience hasn't been so lucky lately.

Thank you for the answer englandr753 I bought Geil modul of 4Gb not looking at the list of supported manufacturers... Thx for the advice, I'll do what you propose.
