Hi All

As you can see in the attached image, a piece attached to my pc's motherboard is loose and about to fall off. It is barely connected on the left side.

HP Spectre X360 Convertible 13-4103dx I7-6500u
HP Original Part Number 828825-601
EAN/UPC code : 5712505920589

Does anyone know what this transistor (or whatever it is) does?

So far, I haven't noticed any changes to the running of my pc.

Thanks in advance.

This looks like ceramic smd capacitor. Based on its size and location it is used to filter and smooth some supply voltage for cpu. There are normally about 20 of these in each voltage rail, so having one removed is nothing critical. Just to be sure go and remove it so it doesn't short anything else when it falls off on its own.
