GPU?Graphic Card?? I wanted to know which Graphic card is best that supports all these Softwares , i seriously dont know anything about Graphic Cards about Their bits and their performance,.. The Local Computer Hardware Shop Told me For Nvidia FX3800 256 bit Could be Best for me .. Please Help me out in Choosing The Right Graphic Card

Further with this PC i need to increase my Skills for 3D Designing, Architectural and Visualization , in AutoCAD, Maya .. Keeping in mind Suggestions for the Best Requirments for PC and Graphic Card in Reasonable cost ...

Thanks

There are two kinds of graphic cards you can get, gaming and workstation. For the kind of work you'll be doing, workstation cards, such as the Quadro FX3800, is best. They are tuned to provide a higher quality of image, as opposed to the gaming card which has fast performance as the priority. You can still run the programs with a gaming card, but for things like serious use of Autocad and the like, I wouldn't recommend it.

Needless to say, the better quality of monitor you have, the more you will benefit from a workstation card. The cost is something that depends on your particular needs. The more complex the modeling you will be doing, the more powerful a card you will need. Quadro card be bought on the used market just like gaming cards, if you want to save money doing that.

Did you purchase the desktop system already or you've simply decided on it? What is your budget? Are you willing to sell your laptop to supplement the budget? Are you receiving a paycheck for 3D work, or are you simply trying to expose yourself to it in order to learn?

Many people say to purchase Nvidia Quadro or AMD Firepro GPUs, but the vast majority of professionals I come across in 3D modeling and animation use gaming GPUS for GPU renders: e.g. GTX 980 Ti, GTX 1080, Titan X, GTX 1080 Ti; I don't know any professionals with the 1080 Ti yet, but many undoubtedly will transition to it.

You need to decide what precisely you're trying to do and which precise applications you'll be using. Then you need to determine if those applications benefit from GPU rendering or not. That is going to determine which ratio of your budget to invest in CPU versus GPU. Also, I know many 3D modeling professionals that have no less than 32 GB of RAM. The storage subsystem is equally important. A lot of those programs recommend no less than RAID configurations with HDDs and I'm guessing that SSDs are probably preferred.

I recommend that you keep this thread going, but also post your inquiry on the message boards of a few of those applications that you're interested in. I would also recommend following some Twitch streams of some of the professionals. Many of them would give you free advice. Another thing to consider is whether you already have a digital tablet or not. You need to consider your entire build and not just the graphics card.

Is your focus graphics modeling, texturing and animation, or building architecture? I do not know if AutoCAD benefits from Quadro drivers or not.

I havent purchased the system, i am deciding and building a perfect plan according to my requirments . my budget here is around 300$ that is around 30,000 RS here in Pakistan for a system only (keeping apart monitor)
I am currently a designer but i want to expose myself in order to learn and to earn through 3D architecture and Visualization. For Designing i went to some places and i saw there are immense Vacancy for 3D Designers , in Real estate Department. surely ill recieve paycheck and earn once im done with this .. I want to move myself and earn more

I will be using Adobe Creative Clouds at first and then 3D Visualization Softwares as Autocad, Maya etc, further wanted to go for Motion graphics and all .No ryt now i dont have a digital tablet but later on im planning to do so

My focus is on Adobe Creative Clouds first, and then to go for 3D modeling, Texturing, Animation, building Architectures to earn more. i simply need a Machine with Perfect Graphic Card that support all these programs...
