How Much Could I Sell My System For?

I have a system with a watercooled i7-4790k and a GTX 960. It's a prebuilt HP Phoenix 850-050qe. Here's the link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04719850. I've had it since June of 2015, but there are no problems with it. I payed somewhere around $1000 for it, but since it's used I don't know how much I wanna sell it for. I'd also need to keep the SSD and HDD that came with it for my new build.

Selling it as non-functional lowers the value significantly. You might have gotten half your cost. Non-functional, it is less than that.

I could sell the CPU and the GPU and get almost the same price, I see i7-4790ks going for at least 300 bucks on ebay, and GTX 960s going for 125. Do you think I'd would be wiser to just sell the i7 and GPU separately and getting almost as much as the whole system?

I have no idea if you would be better off parting it out. The parts might sell faster. I think $300 is top end on E-Bay. $280 might be more median price. You are also competing with $250 4790K units.

It is always hard to sell complete systems, you would be lucky to get $500 for it. in one piece with OS.

Anyone that pays $300+ for a used i7-4790k on ebay is a fool.
You can get a new one, with warranty, for $330 + free shipping.

Selling the system as a whole is also a major crapshoot. No one wants a 2 year old prebuilt HP system.
