I previously use motherboard Asus H61m-e i got lots of bsod and finally found out that one of the slots for RAM is bad, so today i bought new motherboard MSI h61m-p31. Everything went fine, until i tried to play Mass Effect Andromeda. When the loading before the main menu was finished, my computer restarted itself and i tried again, then it happened again. I tried to play other game, like battlefield 1, everything went fine. Then i play ME:A again, suddenly bsod memory management error appeared. I turned off my computer then took out one stick of RAM, suddenly my computer won't turn on. I put the RAM again, and it won't turn on. I took out everything (3 HDD, VGA), still won't turn on. I tried to use one stick of ram, put it in different slot, nothing. I tried the other stick but still nothing.

Edit: i also had tried to reset the cmos, though i don’t know whether it was necessary since i didn't change anything except boot priority. Also i tried to took out both ram, the beep sound was heard.

Edit: after i let my computer off and unplug all power cable to the motherboard for about 15 minutes it turn back on. Now i am using one stick of ram, and re-install windows. I forgot to tell you that i did not re-install the windows after i change motherboard, i thought there was no problem since my windows ran just fine.

Edit: i just started to install then windows when suddenly my computer restarted. No, it hasn't finished installing.

My spec is:
i5-3570k
Corsair vs550
Corsair vengeance 8GB (2x4GB)
MSI GTX-660 twin forzr
3 Hardisks (each 500GB)

It is possible that it wasn't the slots that were bad, but the actually ram themselves. Have you tried using a single stick of ram and trying out all the different slots before trying the same with the other stick of ram? If you are able to start installing windows , I assume you found which stick of ram might be suspect.

After you finish installing and setting up windows again, download Memtest and make a bootable usb for it. Run memtest and see if you get any errors. If not, try replacing that 1 stick of ram (that you used to install windows) and replace it with the other stick of ram, making sure to use the same slot (as you know that slot absolutely works). Run memtest again and see if you get errors. If you do, we can be certain...

By the way, the motherboard will beep (error code) to tell you something is wrong with the ram, such as no ram detected or just a blatantly bad stick of ram/pair of ram.

I am giving up. But.i think you are right, because i tried diagnostic tools from Windows and it shows no eror. I am just thinking that i will bring my computer back to the store and let them find out where the fault is. The only problem is tomorrow is a holiday, so i can bring it day after tomorrow. Ahahaha...

Yup, i think so too, but i was hoping i didn't need to clean install the windows, and i think my experiment was working, until that problem kicked in that is...

Edit: my old motherboard was at fault. Because i tried 4 different rams on that one particular slot, none of them working, while they were working just fine on the other slot...

Edit (again): i forgot to mention, before i clean install the windows just right after i change motherboard, there was an indication of memory problem like bsod i mentioned before and some of my files were read as if they were corrupt, just like when i put ram on the bad slot on my previous motherboard.
