Hello,
I recently tried to manually overclock my ddr4 ram with 3733 refresh rate and 19-21-21-41 timings. The overclock seemed to be stable, however when I checked in my BIOS it said that the ram was only running at 3333 Mhz. I am confused, because when I checked my settings in the BIOS the refresh rate was 3733 Mhz. Also, when I boot into Windows and use "wmic memorychip get speed" in command prompt it returns 3733, but cpu-Z suggested that the ram was running at 3333 Mhz. I am confused, because I expected that my ram would run at the settings I gave it. Can anyone help?
Specs:
i5-6600k @4.5Ghz 1.35 volts
GIGABYTE AORUS Z270x gaming k7 motherboard
16GB G.Skill Trident-z (XMP is 3200Mhz)
