How does the repeater talk to the router? Via WiFi?
The majority of routers have WiFi administration turned OFF by default.
For good reason.
Via wifi, is there a way to turn it on?
Only if you can connect to it via a cable.
WiFi admin defaults to OFF, to decrease the attack surface.
When it is OFF, someone has to be physically present to try to connect. With WiFi admin ON, someone can be sitting ou in the street and try (and possibly succeed) to connect to your router.
