TItle explains it.
Just ordered all the parts for a new PC and my only concern is that the mobo will not recognize the externalHDD when I plug it to install windows, Is my concern in place or is it outdated and I should relax??

Solution
i have use a usb 3 stick on usb 2 and on usb 3 and it worked well

there is some regular quality usb sticks and mainboard that will offer problems but we don't know what he used and how he formatted the usb stick

i can tell you i have a old bad kingston usb 3 stick, i installed like 10 machines with it and it has worked well so far

just be sure to format properly the usb stick, if it gives you problems try to follow the diskpart manual to create a usb installer, just download windows 10 as a iso with the official microsoft manual and you will be fine

Personally It's what I thought too. I know that Usb 3.0 is backwards compatible but some guy on reddit told me that he had problems installing win 10 on a new pc when he used a 3.0 usb, so I was scared as hell that the same would happen to me.
Anyways thanks for the reply mate I appreciate it

I already formated an old laptop with it but I'll keep this in mind. Thanks again
