Which GPU to buy??

Hey everyone,
My current RIG is
CPU:-Intel I5 6600k
MOBO:Asus Z170-K
GPU:Asus Strix AMD R9-380 OC 4GB
RAM:16GB(2X8) DDR4 Kingston HyperX Fury
SSD:Kingston 240GB
HDD:Seagate Baracuda 1TB
Optical Drive:LG SATA
PSU:VIP Gold 750 Watt
Cabinet:Circle CC 839
Keyboard:TVS Gold eBharat PS/2
Mouse :Red Gear Dragon War Thror ELE G9
Speakers:Creative SBS A550
Monitor:LG 22LB Full HD
Cpu Cooler:Cooler Master 212X
Gamepad:Red Gear Pro Series Wireless Gamepad

Now I want is to buy a new GPU, My old gpu is good but i want to go to next level which is VR
Thus i am having issue with selection between AMD RX 480 8GB and Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
Which one SHould I buy?
I dont care about brands, I want perfomance and cooling
And Which is the Model among them?

In that case, the 480 and 1060 are very similar. The 1060 is ~2% faster in DX11 (averaged over several games) and the 480 is ~6% faster in DX12 and Vulcan (again averaged). Personally, I think the 480 will age better than 1060, as games are adding DX12 and Vulcan support and moving away from DX11.

If you plan to have the GPU short term, get whichever is cheaper. If you plan to have it more than a year, I suggest the 480.
The answer has become much clearer since the release of the RX 580. The 580 is the better card. I recommend getting one from Sapphire, ASUS or XFX as I have found them to be of the best quality and customer support. As for which model...whichever one fits your budget, but keep in mind that minor overclocks can be done yourself and are not really worth the price premium.

My budhet is around 250-300$ which is around 20000 ₹
and in my country rx 580 is not yet released...
