Firefox automatically minimizes itself

After installing the official 64 bit Firefox browser from Mozilla's website, the 64 bit version is acting very strangely. When watching YouTube, the window that I am on will suddenly minimize or hide behind other open windows. Also, if I have an open Firefox window behind another Firefox window, the window behind it will sometimes move in front. I never had this problem in the 32 bit version of Firefox, and the only reason why I downloaded the 64 bit version is better browser performance.

I did an anitmalware/anitvirus scan and nothing came up. And yes, my system is 64 bit with 8Gb of RAM. So, what is going on?

Edit: thumbnail previews are also not showing up, if the 64 bit version is maximized. The 32 bit version does not have this problem.

If you are using Firefox then I suggest you check the settings in Options > Under the "Tabs" Tab. Try it with all of them checked.

So it seems everything is working fine on the 64 bit version, ever since I reinstalled and used the recommended options. I will use it for a few more days to see if the problem persists, then report back on my progress.

Update: The 64 bit version is working fine, ever since I reinstalled and did the recommended settings. Might have been a bad install after all. Though it still has some small bugs, but nothing too major. 99Hacks link for the stable install, was very helpful.
